The 20-year-old singer was taken for
dangerous driving and assault following a collision between a minivan
and an ATV that led to a physical altercation on Friday near his
hometown of Stratford.
According to a spokesperson
for Perth County OPP, Bieber went to a police station and was arrested,
then released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 29 and never showed
up.
OPP Constable Kees Wijnands
said there were no injuries as a result of the collision, but could not
say whether there were any injuries from the altercation.
Bieber was photographed recently in southwestern Ontario riding on an ATV vehicle with actress and singer Selena Gomez.
According to reports, Bieber's ATV collided with a minivan on Friday, which was what led to the altercation.
The singer was also expected to appear in court in Toronto next week for an assault charge he picked up late last year.
