Following the controversy being generated on the social media by the letter written to Former President Olusegun Obasanjo by his daughter, Senator Iyabo-Obasanjo Bello, the Editor of Vanguard, Mideno Bayagbon has reconfirmed the authenticity of the letter.
In a telephone interview with the Publisher/Editor-in-chief of ionigeria.com, Charles Igbinidu, Bayagbon said, “we stand by our story. I even spoke with Iyabo today and we have her on tape”.
“If anybody has any problem with the story, let the person tell Iyabo to call us or write us through her lawyer”, he said.
While also revealing to ionigeria.com that he has also spoken today with former President Obasanjo, Bayagbon said that the people that are trying to discredit the story are members of Chief Obasanjo’s inner circle.
In conclusion, Bayagbon restated, “we stand by our story. We have all the records”.
