UNIPORT Student Reportedly Shot Dead By ‘Trigger-Happy’ Police During Protest [Graphic Photos]

The peaceful protest that is being embarked upon by the students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) on Monday morning has taken a new twist as reports reaching us have it that armed officials of the Nigerian Police Force have shot dead one of the students. (This was reported via Twitter by students).

It was gathered that the protester, Comrade Peter – the president of Faculty of Management Science – was immediately rushed to the hospital after the gunfire but did not survive the wound.

The deceased, Peter is seen riddled with bullet holes in his torso.
The witness, @Roland_speaks continued via various tweets on twitter:
“This Government led by Buhari should be ready to kill us all.”
“How can you kill a Final year student for protesting, Nigeria is a mad nation.”
“How can you shoot a Final year student to death for protesting? Nigeria is a cursed country.”
“A lot of things need to be done, killing Nigerian student is part things to be done by APC led federal government. Sour country.”
“After Comr Peter was shot, he was rushed to LuLu Briggs for treatment but he couldn’t survive the gun wound, RIP comrade.”
“What will Nigerian police force and Uniport Management tell the parents of late Peter?,” he wrote.
