Each passing day, there seems to be more twists to the highly reported crashed marriage of superstar actress, Ini Edo and her US-based Nigerian businessman husband, Philip Ehiagwina.

Tongues keep wagging as to why the union is gradually becoming a thing of the past and if latest gist reaching us is anything to believe, both parties may have caused the troubles that contributed to the rumoured marriage crash.

Some talebearers have claimed that Ini Edo’s alleged excessive love for club life contributed to the woes faced by the union while it lasted. According to unconfirmed gist, Philip made efforts to curtail his actress wife, but all were futile.

It was also said that Ini Edo’s in-law put pressure on their son to dump the actress due to some negative reports they were getting from the media and their private investigations. An insider divulged that, ‘Philip actually walked out of the union due to pressure from his family.’

Those who claimed to be in the know alleged that Ini Edo’s love for ‘John Mark’ may have also contributed to the cracks in the six-year-old marriage. Though some said the actress should not be blamed for such since the couple never lived together well enough under the same roof.

It was also said that Ini Edo’s inability to give her husband a child did not go down well with her in-laws.

However, some rumourmongers alleged that Philip’s love for women is extraordinary. They claimed he too contributed in the troubles the marriage faced.

Whether both parties would still amicably settle their differences is what we cannot confirm, but an insider squealed that the need for Ini Edo to protect her ego made her took to social networking site, Twitter to claim she’s seeking for divorce and at the same time denied the cheating allegations levelled against her.

It would be recalled that Ini Edo and Philip Ehiagwina tied the nuptial knots in 2008.

As at the time of posting this story, we could not reach both Ini Edo and Philip for comments.
