It is finally official. Following months of speculation and rumors, Bobbi Kristina Brown confirmed online last night: she is married to Nick Gordon.
The 20-year old daughter
of Whitney Houston relayed the exciting news via a Twitter photo and caption,
the former of which depicted her and Gordon's newly ringed hands and the latter
of which read:
"#HappilyMarried. SO
#Inlove. If you didn't get it the first time that is."
Rumors of an engagement between Brown
and Gordon have been rampant for awhile.
There has been plenty of
controversy around the couple as well, considering Gordon was raised by Houston
and served as Bobbi's quasi brother for many years during their formative
teenage years.
But Bobbi has defended the
romance on Twitter, writing in the past that she and Nick are not "real
brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother.
"My mom never adopted
him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going
to start dating."
In November, Brown
referred to Gordon as her "hubby," but this is far more formal of a
confirmation that they are actually Man and Wife.
Following the posting of
the above wedding ring pic, Bobbi - who has struggled mightily since her mom
passed away and who once compared herself
to Jesus Christ - Tweeted:
"BIGGGG things in
store. I'm so excited ..! We bouta change the world babbbbby! #bringEmOut!
#Getready!xO!"
