It has been reported that following his
loss at the just concluded Presidential elections that held last
saturday, President Goodluck Jonathan, wife and family members have
started moving their personal belongings out of the Presidential Villa,
Abuja.
Punch reported that some buses were sighted loaded with travel bags moving out of the President’s official residence at about midday on Friday.
It was gathered that while the destination of the buses were unknown, one of the buses, a white 18-seater Hiace bus marked PF 6244 AL, was loaded with bags of different shades and sizes.
The early removal of the personal belongings of the first family might have been necessitated by the need for the renovation of "Aso rock" ahead of the May 29 handover date.
Meanwhile, the President may have to be operating from outside the residence, till the end of his tenure
