WHERE IS THE EAGLES DOLLARS?

The Nigeria Football Federation,(NFF) are yet to pay up the bonus they promised the Super Eagles of Nigeria,if they could win the 2013 Nations Cup title.

While the victorious team have been rewarded by the Federal Government and some state governments for their feat in winning the Nations Cup trophy, the NFF are yet to redeem the bonus the Super Eagles are entitled to for winning the tournament.

The total amount earmarked for each player by the NFF is $100,000,which were paid according to the stages they progressed in the competition.
For defeating Mali, the Super Eagles’ players were paid $20,000 each, and the NFF settled other owed bonuses, but they are yet to pay the final bonus of $30,000,which were promised to the players if they could win the tournament.

General Secretary of the NFF,Barrister Musa Amadu, was not forthcoming, when asked if truly the NFF are yet to pay the Super Eagles, $30,000.

I cannot confirm or deny it. That’s the much I can say about it,” Amadu told The Punch.
Why can’t the NFF emulate people like Globacom chairman, Mike Adenuga, who made a pledge of $1m on Monday and redeem it on Wednesday?
