How Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau Was 'Truly Killed' By Nigerian Troops(Must Read)

Reliable sources among the Nigerian troops insist that the man pictured above popularly known as Abubakar Shekau has indeed been killed.
While the Defence Head Quarters is yet to release an official statement about the killing of Boko Haram 'spokes person' and commander identified Abubakar Shekau, there are more and more reports giving credence to the fact that indeed, the insurgent's front man may have met his waterloo in the hands of Nigerian forces.
In a fresh report by Vanguard, details of how Boko Haram's kingpin-notorious for appearing and boasting in videos-was captured and killed has now been revealed. Read below:
Details of how Abubakar Shekau, the impostor and leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group lost his left in a shootout with Nigerian troops in Konduga on Wednesday Sept. 17 emerged yesterday with military sources disclosing that he met his waterloo in an ambush reminiscent of the type the sect had been using to hack down Nigerian troops.
Plenty after the cut.

It is gathered that when the first attack on Konduga whereby hundreds of insurgents were taken unawares and killed after over seven hours of fighting and several of their colleagues, arms and ammunition captured, the military commanders strategically urged his captured members to send a message to Shekau that they (insurgents) have routed the troops.

Before the captured insurgents were urged to make the contact and deliver the message, the military commanders had promised them that their cooperation would play a role in the level of punishment to be meted to them after the battle hence they felt reassured.

Also, the captured insurgents had disclosed that Shekau usually moved in a convoy of cars painted in military colours while he sits in a MOWAG Armoured tank with Boko Haram inscription on its front.
When Shekau was contacted, his captured men spoke to him in Arabic, assuring him that they had taken over Konduga, thereby giving him the all clear to proceed from Sambisa Forest. To convince him further, a set of his men captured were told to sing the victory song in Kanuri language they normally sing at the background.

Having convinced himself that the messenger was his chief courier in such situation and the message is authentic, he and his followers made for Konduga, heavily armed with Anti-Aircraft weapons, General Purpose Machine Guns, several AK 47 rifles and other IEDS’.

However, on entering Konduga town, he and his followers were encircled by strategically placed and heavily armed Nigerian soldiers. Immediately he contacted the messenger and discovered that something was amiss, he ordered his followers to start shooting in all direction.
This spurred the Army Commanders to give the directive to open fire. When he discovered that the fire power of the Nigerian Army who used both Infantry and Artillery weaponry was overpowering that of his men, he jumped out of the MOWAG and made to escape.
But eagle-eyed Nigerian Soldiers spotted him and opened fire in him, shattering his legs in the process. It was learnt that he also received bullet wounds in other parts of his body leading to his bleeding to death.

Recall that Military sources had on Sunday night disclosed that Nigerian troops scored a strategic victory in the current battle against terrorists operating in the North East on September 17.
The sources noted that during a desperate attempt to capture Konduga in their delusion to eventually marching on and capturing Maiduguri, the man who had been mimicking Late Abubakar Shekau in recent videos was feared to have been finally killed.
The sources said,
“It is getting more certain that the terrorists’ Commander who has been mimicking Shekau in those videos is the one killed in Konduga on September 17, 2014.”
Affirming the development, PRNigeria sources said the suspected demise of the Boko Haram leader is responsible for the scattering of the sect members in different independent locations in the neighbouring countries, especially in Cameroon noticed in recent days.
The security sources noted further that “the process of confirming that the dead body we have is the same as that character who has been posing as Shekau is ongoing” adding “He is definitely a prominent terrorist commander. I don’t want to say anything about this yet please.”
Another high ranking military source insisted that the resemblance is too striking to be a coincidence.
“They cited his facial marks, beards and teeth apart from the recovery by the Nigerian troops of some of the Armoured Vehicles and Hilux jeeps that had featured in previous videos of the prime suspect.
“The officers assured that the Defence Headquarters will soon address the nation after full investigation of their latest discovery”.
Meanwhile, the Defence headquarters yesterday dismissed insinuation that Cameroonian military personnel carried out raids on Boko Haram terrorists into border communities in Nigeria.
According to a report posted on its twitter handle, DHQ said
“There was no raid whatsoever in any part of Nigeria’s territory in pursuit of terrorists as claimed in some reports allegedly quoting Cameroon military authorities”.
“All operations ongoing in the environs of Konduga & all associated border location within the country are completely being undertaken by Nigerian troops”

END OF THE ROAD!..DHQ Releases Official Statement Confirming The Killing Of Boko Haram Kingpin Abubakar Shekau..PHOTO SPEAKS.

Confirmation: DHQ backed its claim of killing Shekau impersonator with the pic above.
Defence Headquarters spokesperson, Major General Chris Olukolade on Wednesday confirmed that the dreaded Abubakar Shekau, leader of Islamist sect, Boko Haram is dead.
In a statement issued by the Nigerian military it was confirmed that Shekau was killed by security forces. The military stated that the real Shekau was killed by soldiers over a year ago, but that his character had been assumed by another leader of the deadly group.

“The impersonator is the man who appeared in several Boko Haram propaganda videos, claiming he is Shekau”, the military said. The military claimed that it was new Shekau that was killed in a fierce clash with the military last week in Konduga, near Maiduguri, Borno state.

That man, Olukolade said, was Mohammed Bashir, known also with several aliases.

He had used other names like Abacha Abdullahi Geidam and Damasack in the past.

Olukolade illustrated the Defence authorities claim with pictures of the bullet-ridden corpse of Shekau and a video of the battle in which he was killed.

The statement is the first official confirmation of the death of Shekau since news broke last week he had been killed in a confrontation as militants moved to attack Maiduguri.

Olukolade said the alleged Shekau’s double was targeted amongst other leaders of the group in Konduga when the military’s land and air forces engaged a convoy of combat vehicles conveying several militants.

“Several of the terrorists, including some of their commanders, lost their lives in the encounters which lasted an average of about 5 hours each,” the defence spokesperson said.

“The troops captured some of the terrorists and their equipment. In the course of those encounters, one Mohammed Bashir who has been acting or posing on videos as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as leader of the group died.

Olukolade said after the clash, the identity of Bashir was confirmed by the locals in Konduga.
“Bashir’s other names included Abubakar Shekau, alias Abacha Abdullahi Geidam alias Damasack.

Since the name Shekau has become a brand name for the terrorists’ leader, the Nigerian military remains resolute to serve justice to anyone who assumes that designation or title as well as all terrorists that seek to violate the freedom and territory of Nigeria,” the statement read.

During the news conference on Wednesday, the defence spokesman said that many top commanders of Boko Haram were also killed in the four battles against the insurgents between September 12 and 17.

Olukolade added that the military was determined to eliminate anybody, who claims to be Shekau, a name which, he said had become a brand for the leader of the insurgents.

He said,
“Nigerian troops have been conducting coordinated air and land operations in furtherance of efforts at containing the terrorists in the North -East. . Somehow, it became apparent that the terrorists, in continuation of their campaign of terror, were determined to take over communities around Maiduguri, which is their prime target.
“There was, therefore, the need to ensure that communities such as Kodunga were protected. It is noteworthy that the terrorists made no less than four attempts between September 12 and 17 to violate the security and enter Kodunga to perpetrate their atrocities. Air and land forces were subsequently deployed to handle the situation.
“The convoy of combat vehicles typical of terrorists’ mission that involved their top commanders was engaged by land and air forces. Several of the terrorists, including some of their commanders, lost their lives in the encounters which lasted an average of about five hours each. The troops captured some of the terrorists and their equipment.
“In the course of those encounters, one Mohammed Bashir, who has been acting or posing on videos as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as leader of the group, died.
“Since the name Shekau has become a brand name for the terrorists’ leader, the Nigerian military remains resolute to serve justice to anyone who assumes that designation or title as well as all terrorists that seek to violate the freedom and territory of Nigeria.
“On restoring normalcy after the encounters, inhabitants of the community who were victims of their activities corroborated information on the identity of Bashir Mohammed alias Abubakar Shekau, alias Abacha Abdullahi Geidam alias Damasack, etc.

“Indeed, the recent devastation on the leadership of the insurgents is attributable to the renewed commitment to the mission of eradicating terrorism in our country.”
Olukolade also said that 135 insurgents surrendered their weapons to troops in Borno and Adamawa states on Tuesday evening.

Olukolade said 135 other terrorists on Tuesday evening surrendered along with equipment to troops around Biu Local Government Area.

A group of 88 submitted themselves at Mairiga/Bun-Yadi while another group of 45 terrorists were taken in around Mubi-Michika. They are all being interrogated and processed in conformity with the dictates of standard best practices.

“The Defence Headquarters applauds the gallantry of the Nigerian troops who have remained undaunted and professional in prosecuting this campaign against terror,” he said.

BLIND LOVE DOESN’T EXIST: 7 Signs you are in an abusive relationship...MUST READ.

Abuse: It’s that word that scares every person. And, given how common it is, you might have to encounter it in some form or another. Relationship abuse can manifest in many different iterations. It might be that fighting couple in the apartment next door, that girl crying silently on the subway or that guy in the emergency room, who’s barely alert after overdosing for the third time. The unfortunate thing about relationship abuse is that it’s grossly under-reported. Oftentimes, it is extremely difficult for people to be able to help themselves. An abused person might feel too frightened to report due to a fear of being reprimanded by his or her partner. Other times, a victim might not recognize or may even normalize the abuse. The numbers are scary. Roughly around one in four women experiences some form of domestic abuse in her lifetime. Sadly, this statistic is an underestimate, as it does not include unreported cases. So, what are the signs or red flags of relationship abuse? Some are more obvious than others. Below is a list of a few less obvious abuse signs, which should lead you to question a partners’ motives in any and all relationships:
 1. He checks your phone messages constantly. He sneaks into your email and social media accounts. He checks your webpage history. He tracks your whereabouts via specific phone apps. He has no basis, rhyme or reason for doing this, but he does it anyway. If this is happening in your relationship, it is probably not a healthy one. If your partner does not trust you and needs to spy on your whereabouts or doings-on, you should seriously question the whole trust component of your relationship.
2. He constantly accuses you of liking other men in a sexual way. He accuses you of being out with other guys when you are apart, even when you’re not. He constantly questions your intentions with males who have been your friends for many years. He does not like you associating with male friends or classmates in any way, as they make him feel threatened. He thinks people in bars are giving you looks when really, it’s just a glance from a passerby. These things can be the early hints of traits that appear in paranoid personality disorders.
3. Verbal slander. He puts you down in front of other people and when you’re alone. The names are hurtful and sometimes impossible to forget. You feel ashamed of them and wonder how you could ever be with someone who calls you such things. You make up your own excuses for these behaviors: he was upset, he had a rough day, you did something you shouldn’t have done. But, these words have nothing to do with you and everything to do with him being in control of your emotions.
4. He isolates you. You suddenly find your friends and family feeling more distant. You slowly start receiving fewer calls, emails and text messages from other people in your life. Maybe he guilts you into spending time away from him. You do your favorite leisure activities less often because if he is not involved, he does not want you to be involved either.
5. You have to tiptoe around him. Little things might trigger an episode of anger, aggression or moodiness. If you are worried about insignificant small things that might set him off, be careful. Are you constantly guarding your speech and no longer feel like you can be yourself? Do you even like this new, shielded, adapted person you have become?
 6. He threatens you or ruins your personal possessions. When something angers him, he snaps in some way and something of yours gets damaged. Whether it is a silly figurine you got with a family member or a glass on the counter, something gets broken. He makes comments that make you fear for your own personal safety.
7. He states that if you loved him, you would do “X” for him. He abuses your selfless nature to guilt and engage you in things you might not necessarily want to do. You skip an important presentation to pick him up from the airport. You ditch your friends for the 10th time to hang out with him alone, yet again. You cook him dinner instead of going out with your relatives. Etc. This is not by any means an exhaustive list; however, it may be common to experience some of these things in your relationships. What happens now? If there is ever a time you fear for your own safety or for the safety of those around you, you should report it to the police immediately. There are too many victims of abuse who remain victims. The longer an abusive relationship continues on, the easier it can be to get absorbed and wrapped up in the relationship. And, the harder it may be to subsequently leave. Unfortunately, this list is one I’ve formulated from personal experience. Prior to being in my abusive relationship, I thought I was invincible; that those types of things just wouldn’t happen to me. I was wrong. I struggled. I was an emotional wreck on my own and tried to hold it together in public. I put on a tough face at work and with friends. I hid everything. I made excuses. I started to withdraw from important relationships. After a few months, I finally had the courage to talk to a close friend about my reality. It felt frightening and risky to get out of the situation, but I now realize how critical it was for my self-respect, well being and happiness. If you suspect that someone you know might be in an abusive relationship, try to inquire about it in a respectful way. You will be surprised by how much emotion some people hold inside. The more we ask, the more we learn and the more we can help. Not every person may be ready to leave a toxic relationship — and that’s okay. Offer your support regardless.

SERIOUSLY?...S/African Journalist Jacques Pauw Says TB Joshua Tried to Bribe Him!

An Investigative journalist and author, Jacques Pauw, has described the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) and "Prophet" TB Joshua as one of Africa's most influential men, who tried to bribe him during an interview.

According to Pauw, author of Profit of Doom, an expose on Joshua's church, the preacher once tried to bribe his entire television crew after he accompanied the late Blue Bulls lock Wium Basson to Lagos for healing. Basson died in April 2001 aged 25 and here's Pauw's story.

Ruben Kruger, a veteran of 36 tests in the green and gold, returned after a week in Nigeria and declared that a Pentecostal preacher he called the Prophet had healed his brain cancer. Temitope Balogun “TB” Joshua prayed for him in the Synagogue Church of All Nations compound while thousands of people sang, danced and wailed, Kruger said.

As Joshua bent over him and implored the demon to be gone from his body, Kruger felt the tumour leaving him. He was cured, Joshua declared, handing him oil to rub on his head.

“I no longer have to drink my chemo pills,” Kruger said on his return. “You cannot describe the feeling to anyone who has not experienced it. It was an unbelievable – or should I say believable – experience."

The floodgates opened and the Prophet’s newest converts were white, mostly Afrikaans and relatively conservative. They swopped the NG and Hervormde churches for a Nigerian “turn-or-burn” approach to redemption.

It took me some time to understand why the Afrikaner psyche found Joshua so irresistible. Why were they prepared to seek salvation in a country they perceived to be drowning in greed, political rot and economic decay? Christianity Nigerian-style was worlds apart from the chains and shackles of Calvinism. Joshua unchained them. He allowed them to worship with a gusto and fervour previously thought unseemly. That the new messiah was black and his church in Africa’s biggest and maddest metropolis only added to the allure.

A year or two after Kruger returned from Lagos, I made the same journey. On the plane was another Springbok rugby player, 25-year-old lock Wium Basson, who was dying of liver cancer. He was accompanied by his mother, Cloeté Geldenhuys, and had to get special permission from SAA to make the journey.

I was making a TV documentary and my challenge to Joshua was straightforward: allow me to film how you heal Basson. If you succeed, I promise I will show it to the world.

When we arrived at Joshua’s compound, the TV team and I were in effect incarcerated. For two weeks, we were forbidden to leave the grounds. We were told we could not drink or smoke, and had to attend services and events with the pilgrims.

While I stayed in a dormitory with other pilgrims, Wium and Cloeté set up camp in a private room. The church took away the young man’s morphine and pain pills.

During our first interview, a softly spoken, affable Joshua said it would be easy to heal Wium because he had nothing but a “little sore” on his liver. At Sunday sermons, the afflicted lined up with placards stating what condition they needed healed.

There were lines of people seeking a cure for HIV/Aids, cancer and heart conditions, business failures, wandering spouses and dull brains. A festive, almost joyous atmosphere filled the compound as churchgoers sang, clapped and danced. Evil spirits were cast out and those set free by the Prophet writhed in the dirt while vomiting out the demons. Joshua prayed for every person in the line and declared them all healed. He ordered them to stop using any medication and trust in God.

Among the pilgrims was Capetonian John Rindel, who was suffering from full-blown Aids and already had dementia. He had arrived at the church several weeks before we did, was prayed for by Joshua and declared completely healed. He had stopped taking his medicine and showed remarkable improvement. Scientists refer to this as the “placebo effect” of faith healing. A patient can experience genuine pain relief and other symptomatic alleviation after being prayed for. The relief is short-lived and the patient soon returns to his original condition.

The internet is filled with reports from organisations like the American Cancer Society and the British Medical Journal that found no evidence faith healing can cure physical ailments.

On my request, Rindel agreed to go for two independent HIV/Aids tests when he returned to South Africa. Both showed he was still positive. He died a short while later. The BBC recently investigated the London branch of the church and reported that three women had died after being “healed” and told to stop taking their HIV/Aids medication. I challenged the pilgrims to provide me with medical proof that they had been healed. None did. Ruben Kruger died in 2010 just before his 40th birthday.

    And Wium Basson?

Joshua never prayed for him. He said God had not sent him a message to do so. The young man left the church broken, disillusioned and at death’s door. He died a few days after returning to South Africa.

Before I left the church, Joshua handed me, and the camera and sound people, thick envelopes full of hundred dollar notes. He wanted to be sure we’d produce a positive programme. We gave the envelopes back.

A year or so after the programme aired – and generated a massive response from people who called us accusing Joshua of all sorts of misdeeds – the preacher produced a video of a 76-year-old South African man named Moses he said he’d brought back from the dead. Moses was among a group of South African pilgrims in Lagos when he had a heart attack in the dining room. Videos distributed around the world showed three pilgrims, one a doctor from Bloemfontein, trying to resuscitate Moses. They failed, the videos reported, and Moses was carried into another room. Joshua walked in, bent over him and commanded: “In the name of Jesus, rise!”

Moses opened his eyes. It later emerged that Moses had been both alive and breathing when he was carried from the dining hall. He’d been resuscitated, not resurrected, and clever editing created a fake miracle.

I understand the despair of terminally ill people and why they grasp at final straws. My father died of lung cancer and might well have made the journey to Lagos. I am just glad he is not here any more to become a victim of a ravenous tick that feasts on the blood of the ignorant, gullible and desperate.

Orji Uzor Kalu Aquires Most Expensive Aircraft in Nigeria...PHOTO SPEAKS.

Click for Full Image Size
Only God will help the average Nigerian in this country with the rate at which pastors and politicians go about acquiring private jets while the masses wallow in poverty.

Please we do not know what right it is for pastors, because the Bible says though shall not judge but let’s look at the politicians in the country. What have they done during their tenure in office? How many lives have they saved and how many schools have they built? Did they declare their assets before and after and above all, how transparent are they?

According to Encomium magazine, former Governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu, now has the most expensive private jet in Nigeria.

The jet, which is the latest edition of the Gulfstream G650, is said to be worth about N12billion and arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos on Thursday September 18th from New York.

Described as the fastest civilian jet in the world, the PJ boasts of a basketball court, 8,000 statute-mile range, some of the most sophisticated avionics rivaling nearly anything in the sky and uses two Rolls Royce BR725 engines. The main price of the aircraft is put at $65 million but other charges could have raised it to $75m. According to Forbes, the Gulfstream G650 has an order book of 200 customers throughout the world.

Please let’s ask this question, where will he park this aircraft and the cost of maintenance daily and the pilot to fly the plane?

Ha, my God, where is this country heading to? What will happen to the child yet unborn? Well, it’s left for you to answer not me.
